| Based in the 1990s catering for minor repairs on BR
liveried diesel locos through an inspection shed, 3 holding bays, 2 repair sheds and a refuelling
area before returning to duty. Displaying a max of 8 locos on scene and 6 in fiddle yard at one time.
Locos include classes 08, 20, 25, 33, 37, 43, 44. 45, 47, 50 and 56 in BR Blue, Intercity Swallow
or Railfreight Grey at times. The layout (OO gauge, 12V DC analogue control, needing just one 240V mains socket) has been designed and built to be readily available for exhibitions. It is a 48” (1220mm) x 30” (760mm) x 18” (460mm) box in hatchback for transport, and requires 2 operators for building and running, working from the back behind an integral fiddle yard. The scenic area is 48” x 24”, and the layout needs an overall space of 6ft x 6ft including operating area.
